Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) is often misdiagnosed due to its presentation as it can mimic different kinds of peripheral neuropathies. CIDP is a rare immune-mediated neurologic disorder that can be associated with systemic lupus erythematosus, HIV, diabetes mellitus or thyroid disorders. For this paper, it aims to present a 52-year-old female whose chief complaint was abdominal and radicular pains. A series of diagnostics pointed to diagnose the patient with CIDP associated with diabetic polyneuropathy with a provisional diagnosis of SLE. CIDP is said to be an uncommon manifestation of SLE and Diabetes Mellitus. This paper aimed to discuss the approach and management in patients with CIDP and different forms that can mimic CIDP.
